Having generated a set of gerbers from Eagle Lite and not being able to get a gerber viewer to work, I sent the files to your support group for review at 10pm last night. Hi Tracy,
We have achieved a mile stone.

Yesterday we took the car (chassis only) for a test drive. I am pleased to say the test was a great success. Everything worked as expected. In the next few weeks more parts/components will be added to the car and more extensive road test will be done.

According to Max Buneta (former Queens University solar car team member), we had a major achievement in terms of solar car, a flawless run on the very first time the car hit the pavement under its own power. As you can imagine the due to the complexity of such project not many have accomplished that.

I am very proud of what we have built, It has been a long journey to get to this point, I wouldn't been able to get this far without your support.

Also, I want to thank you for your patience and understanding, I never expected that it would take this long and this much effort. I guess I am too much of an optimistic.

I appreciate all your support. Hope to have more news to share with you soon.

It has been awhile since I have done any layout work, I am just coming back up to speed. Also, the latest version of PADS/PowerPCB has a lot of "trap doors" that I don't think it had back when I used it in the past.

Thanks! The SMT placement was my biggest concern. Must have been the 36 hours I had been awake when I did the checking of the Gerbers. I wouldn’t have caught it but was looking at the them before I sent the files to Screaming Circuits for the build of these 20 boards on Monday.

I really appreciate the extra effort from you here, as it would have cost me in rework (scraping silk screen from each board before the build).

Curious… you mentioned on line that they (my boards) were part of a larger panel with other customers. I’m aware of “2-UP”, “4-Up”, “8-up”, etc. but with a build of 20 of my board are your panels really that large or is it just that the size of mine fit better with other boards for panel utilization? (See… I used to be one of those Intel Geeks! J)

I'm writing to say how pleased I am with your service. I ordered 4 sample boards last Thursday, and I was pleasantly surprised to receive them today, Monday. And the boards are perfect. I can't believe I got this kind of service for only $130.00. Before I discovered PCBexpress it would have cost me at least $300.00, it would take 3 - 5 weeks, and the boards probably wouldn't be right.
